Camp Zenith is a venue that accommodates groups of 10-300 people, in camp-style accommodation, offering both recreational facilities and training facilities.
Our mission statement is “to be a catalyst to ignite change and promote development”. This statement drives us and guides us to provide a comfortable environment where campers can get away from the city and take in the fresh air and scenic views and reflect and connect while camping at Camp Zenith.

Welcome Packs
Once a camp is confirmed, group organisers will receive a custom-generated welcome pack. As a camper, if you haven’t received this, please contact your camp organiser. This is an important document for you because it contains a few vital pieces of information, namely, a welcome message, kit list, indemnity form link, directions to the campsite, and contact details.

Indemnity Form Link
All campers are required to fill in the Camp Zenith online indemnity form, which is accessible through the link in the welcome pack. This also provides key information to Camp Zenith for your safety. The indemnity form will request information such as emergency contact information and allergies/medical conditions.

How we use your details
Camp Zenith will not sell or misuse your data, we respect your privacy. We will use your data in the following ways only:
- In the event of an emergency to contact the relevant emergency contact/s.
- To prevent an emergency. This means that the info supplied under “Medical Conditions / Allergies?” is shared with the camp organisers and the relevant Camp Zenith staff.
- To email you a copy of the indemnity form, for your records. You can uncheck this option if you don’t want to receive this.

Kit List
A kit list is provided in the welcome pack and is custom-generated depending services that Camp Zenith is providing.
For this reason, it is important to use the correct welcome pack’s kit list, which will show the group’s name and dates of the camp.

Campsite Allocations
Our campsite is huge, and therefore different parts of the campsite may be allocated to different groups. This would be communicated with your camp organiser who would explain which halls and rooms are allocated to your group.

Accommodation
Our facility consists of 2 Camp Villages, namely Hillside Haven and Valley View. The accommodation is camp-style accommodation consisting of rooms with beds.
In Valley View, most of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Valley View has chalets, rondavels, houses and dorms, and extra ablution blocks.
Hillside Haven consists mostly of a really large building with 16 rooms in it and an ablution block.

Bedding
By default, bedding isn’t included. Beds are fitted with a clean sheet before each camp, and campers are requested to bring their own bedding.
Groups can hire bedding if the camp organisers so decide. You would know if you don’t need to bring bedding by looking at the kit list on your camp’s welcome pack.

Catering
Camp Zenith offers multiple catering options and it is for the group organisers to decide which option best suits the camp’s needs and budgets.
We offer the following options:Catering (Standard Menu),
Catering (Budget Menu),
Self-catering.
On the self-catered option, the group organisers would be responsible for the campers meals.

Crockery and Cutlery
By default, crockery and cutlery aren’t included.
Campers bring their own and wash them after meals.
Groups can hire crockery and cutlery if the camp organisers so desire.
You would know if you don’t need to bring your own crockery and cutlery by looking at the kit list on your camp’s welcome pack.

Camp Rules
- No alcohol is allowed onto the campsite.
- Smoking inside the rooms is prohibited.
- Please do not remove the beds and mattresses from the rooms and dormitories. All beds and mattresses are to remain where they were found and cannot be used for anything besides sleeping.
- Boys are not permitted in girls’ rooms and vice versa.
- We kindly ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum after 11pm in respect of others on the campsite.
- Children under the age of 18 may only use the pool with adult supervision.
- No night swimming allowed.
- Fire extinguishers can only be used in an emergency.
- Campers are not allowed to feed the ducks.
- Unfortunately we cannot allow pets on site.
- Please do not harm the wildlife.
Camp Feedback
We would love to know how you experienced your camp at Camp Zenith. We have a feedback form that is automatically sent to those who want to review their Camp experience. Once campers fill out their online indemnity form, they can opt to receive the feedback form. By filling out the feedback form provides us with valuable feedback that is considered in all decisions made on the campsite, so that we can constantly improve our services. Additionally, by filling out the form, you automatically get entered into the current competition. At the time of writing this article, the prize on offer is an iPad that goes to one lucky camper who camped at Camp Zenith and then filled out the Feedback form.
